Hp Compaq nc4000 restore disk ISO complete factory reset. Windows® 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista or XP recovery disk media available in ISO format to download or in physical DVD and USB format. The following link: states that my NC 4000 laptop has: '16-bit Sound Blaster Pro-compatible audio' further research also points me to the audio device being an ALI M5451 AC'97. I am a little confused over this, as I wonder if any create drivers would work? As this is an older laptop there are no windows 7 drivers from HP. I am also aware that there are no windows 7 drivers from HP, although I have read that Daniel Kawakami has modded various drivers with success. Unfourtunately I tried to install the SBL_VTDRV_LB_2_10_0001A.exe Daniel Kawakami mod, however during the setup it said: 'setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system' The windows 7 update installs the soundmax integrated digital audio driver, however this plays audio very fuzzy and broken / slow. I have also treid installing XP drivers from the HP site, however these just won't install even in compatibility mode. Does anyone know any other options I could try?
